There's much to see here. So, take your time, look around, and learn all there is to know about us. We hope you enjoy our site and take a moment to share us with your family & friends.
In 2009 Vietnam Veteran Denny Craycraft was inspired to reconstruct a piece of Belding history, The Freedom Wall. Nearly 3 yrs. passed before he was granted permission to start the project. In November 2012, exactly 64 years to the day, from the day the original Freedom Wall was decommissioned, the "New" Freedom Wall was unveiled. Since that day, what started out as one monument honoring our local WWII veterans, became a beautiful veterans park honoring thousands of Michigan veterans. The continually growing park is now home to a WWI monument honoring over 320 local WWI veterans, the Freedom Wall that has over 754 stars honoring the WWII veterans from Belding, Greenville, Ionia and surrounding areas, a Korean War Monument, a POW/MIA monument, a Blue Star & Gold Star Mothers monument, and a one of a kind Vietnam memorial that proudly honors 2654 names of all Michigan soldiers who gave the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam, and 12 pillars that proudly honor our local soldiers that lost their lives in Vietnam. Their name, their face and their story are etched in history for us all to remember.
We are nowhere near finished with this park of honor and as our funding is all by private contributors, our beautiful monuments of honor are designed and unveiled as financial obligations are met.
Our current project is the Desert Storm/Desert Shield memorial. Phase 1 is projected to be unveiled in Nov. 2019 and phase 2 is projected for May 2020 at which time we will also hopefully be unveiling a couple more fitting pieces to add to the uniqueness of this park.
Our park proudly displays bricks in honor of those you know and love. Our Buy A Brick program is always ongoing and you can print the form from this website. We are a non-profit 501c3 and gladly accept donations made out to Freedom Wall. If mailing a donation or brick form please mail to:
